Mixed Tape Monday 1.6.20

On [most] Mondays, I share my mixed tape of a smattering of thoughts, ideas, videos, songs, etc. that stuck out to me in the past week. Here is this Monday’s mix:

:: I’d like to highlight The Muse Writer’s Center which is located in Norfolk, Virginia.  I recently took a six-week songwriting course from Skye Zentz through The Muse and was so thrilled at the caliber of teaching and information.  I would definitely recommend one of Skye’s courses, like this one coming up, but there is a whole slew of other classes offered as well.

:: Seth, the kids, and I have enjoyed these picture books this past week:  Sally Jean, the Bicycle Queen by Cari Best, illustrated by Christine Davenier, Duck Soup by Jackie Urbanovic, and Sparky & Spike by Barbara Lowell, illustrated by Dan Andreasen.

Duck Soup (Max the Duck)

Sparky & Spike: Charles Schulz and the Wildest, Smartest Dog Ever

:: I recently discovered Danielle Ate the Sandwich and I particularly love this song, The Terrible Dinner Guest.  Danielle has a beautiful voice and thoughtful, witty lyrics.
