Mixed Tape Monday 12.2.19

On [most] Mondays, I share my mixed tape of a smattering of thoughts, ideas, videos, songs, etc. that stuck out to me in the past week. Here is this Monday’s mix:

::If you like good music, possibly music that doesn’t frequent the typical radio stations, you might enjoy Andrew Peterson’s music as well as his friends.  I first became a fan of Andrew’s song-writing as I listened to “The Burning Edge of Dawn” during a critical time in my life when I needed to be reminded about hope.  Later on, I sat in my brother and sister-in-laws’ cozy living room and took in “Behold the Lamb of God” for the first time.  It is a spectacular concert which I have yet to see live but it is available to view digitally in the comfort of your own home, preferably with friends who will share in this enjoyment of good music.  Click here for tickets.

::Our Christmas song playlist always includes “O Come, O Come Emmanuel” by The Franz Family.

::And, I also love JJ Heller’s rendition of “Star of Wonder” here.

::My kids and I love reading “The Christmas Quiet Book” by Deborah Underwood and Renata Liwska at this time of year.
