On [most] Mondays, I share my mixed tape of a smattering of thoughts, ideas, videos, songs, etc. that stuck out to me in the past week. Here is this Monday’s mix:
::JJ Heller’s song, “A Mother Like You” is such a sweet song, written by her, Dave Heller, and Brandon Heath.
::I was struck by this quote by Alexander MacLaren that I pulled from a book I just finished on Mother’s Day, “The true source of all that frets and irritates, and wears away our lives, is not in external things, but in the resistance of our wills to the will of God expressed by external things.”
::Lost Cat by C. Roger Mader – I am more a dog person but I really enjoyed reading this picture book with my kids!
::Have you seen “Avengers: Endgame” yet? Seth and I got a date night last week–burgers and fries and a movie. I appreciate the observations Rebbeca Reynolds has on the film in her article, “The Snap of Thanos and the God Who Flooded Humanity.”
