I hope you’re getting to savor December. It can be such a flurry and then it is over. I had to get a little cold to remind myself to slow down and enjoy my little ones, my husband, and the things that matter most. Those other things I thought were so important before I caught the sniffles can wait!
Here is this week’s mixed tape:
::Did you know that before “I Heard the Bells on Christmas Day” was a song, it was a poem penned by Henry Wadsworth Longfellow? Read the story behind the poetry here.
::When I first heard “White Winter Hymnal” by Pentatonix, I didn’t like it and I kept skipping over it but then it grew on me and it is one of my favorites from their 2015 album. See them perform it here and then learn how to do the beat here.
::I enjoyed this short little devotional for Advent by John Piper, “For God’s Little People.”
::And last, but not least, “Mr. Willowby’s Christmas Tree” by Robert Barry is a new favorite of ours during this season.
