Goals for 2016

When Seth and I were first married, we established an annual tradition of goal-setting.  Our first session began at Starbucks with a couple of simple, short lists.  Now we try to sit down at the beginning of every year and write out some things and share them with each other and even set a few goals to work toward together.  Here are this year’s goals:

For Me:

::Work out (not counting walks) at least 2x/week

::Read 12 books

::Apply “The Life-Changing Magic of Tidying Up” book

::Organize recipes, meal planning, and grocery lists so it is all more efficient

::Help Dryden develop a morning routine

::Teach Adelaide signs for “eat,” “more,” “please,” “thank you,” and “all done”

::Blog at least 2x/week

::Write song lyrics every day for the entire year

::Seth monthly music goals

::Learn 6 chords on mandolin

::Listen to or watch 5 music-related videos or podcasts each month

::Read 3-5 pages of Books of the Bible each day

::Prep one person in my Life Group to be a leader of their own Life Group in the future

::Memorize the rest of Psalm 103 and at least 6 verses in Hebrews as well as review 8 old verses per month

::Travel to see at least one friend in another state

With Seth:

::Save for a house (We have a specific monthly goal but I decided to just keep that to ourselves.  It definitely will be a challenge but the possibility of buying a home should help us to be disciplined!)

::Take Virginia homebuyer course

::Write a will
